Eat the Rich Podcast hosts were so amazed by the paramilitary line.... Here' a possible explanation for that.

Very interesting for various reasons. Told me new stuff about Kroll and also interesting to listen to these three people as they realize that something INSANE is going on with Kroll. That is the word they kept using as they dug a little deeper. They really made it clear how bullshit is Kroll's origin story but they didn't get into the problem with the press surrounding Kroll. The press not just surrounding Jules Kroll but Nick Kroll is fascinating - so many ommissions when it comes to Jules Kroll'ps work over the decades and so much hype and bullshit surrounds Nick Kroll's career that it can easily fill a book. At one point Nick's Wikipedia page talked about how he took out his penis at graduation and flashed it for all to see. Of course, that has been thoroughly scrubbed from the web.
Then there is the Cornel Sun pushing him without mentioning who his father is. Then there is the article where almost no tickets were sold to his show and then all sold a day before. This is before he was able to use fake it till you make to impress upon the unsuspecting masses that he was a Hollywood success story. Then there is the post I made about how many publications were promoting him without telling the reader that his father either worked for them or funds them. Then there was a narrative of how Kroll Show was stopped so "Nick Kroll can go out on top" but in reality, the ratings were always terrible and were exceptionally dismal at the time it was pulled.
Then the NPR, Grantland, Pitchfork, Bon Apetit non-scandals that should have been scandals. In short, all publications abdicated tons of integrity and went against regular practices to foist this eyesore upon us. Then there is the fact that Nick Kroll send tons of comedians on a first-class jaunt to Africa, sends spa invites to Greg Fitzimmons, a total stranger to him at the time, and just in general keeps using his wealth to buy friends, jobs, and eventually... fame.
So much more but it is just too odd to write about someone so low on the celebrity totem pole. The same applies to Tig Notaro. Just not famous enough for anyone to care and I guess that's its own blessing. At least I can avoid them relatively easily. It also means that they are being deprived of all that matters to them so that's a good thing too.
But this post is not about that. It's about the podcast I mentioned up top. So much I want to tell those hosts but I'll settle for this for today... At one point in the podcasts the host marvel over how when commissioned to do a report of the Austin Police department, Kroll wrote this
- Balance the need for paramilitary training models with best practices of adult learning theories into curriculum and teaching methods and replace collective discipline techniques with Team Building Exercises (TBX).
