Alissa Malzman "I work for the city" Sterling is a terrible lawyer and an even more awful human being

She had a hundred opportunities to use her law degree do the right thing - to help out a victim of very serious abuses of power. Instead, she only could think about how it might affect her miserable ambitions. She shouldn't be able to live with herself. If I did what she did I would not be able to exist. Over the years since the travesty, I've learned all kinds of things about the law and what a defense lawyer should do- that make me see how truly awful she was and how much she fucked me over.

How she screwed me over has caused me so much pain over the years. From the start she wanted me to take the fall so she was in no way compromised. She had a duty to tell me from the start that she would not fight for me on one charge because that would make the city attorneys and certain judges angry with her. Her purposeful failures allowed Tig Notaro and witness tampering Nick Kroll to pursue their dreams while mine were destroyed. On three occasions during her "representation" Malzman said this, "You are being maliciously prosecuted, Alisa." On one occasion she said, " You are being framed." Little did I know back then that any decent lawyer would then file a motion for malicious prosecution. Sterling never one filed one motion after seeing how many motions I'd filed and that were outright omitted from the minutes...She never used the fact that all witnesses except Tig Notaro, were booked at a fancy Nick Kroll funded "comedy festival" a few months prior to trial. Malzman Sterling refused to bring out the incredbly exculpatory fact that a criminal charge was only brought against me AFTER I sued Notaro for defamation.

Alissa Malzman Sterling is so bad and so corrupt that she either refused to hand over witness statements that would have shut my whole case down or she honestly talked to Julian Quinn Roberts, Jaqueline Montalvo, Sam Consuegra and Heidi Feigin and is so lazy or feckless that she didn't even make them put it in writing. I know she did talk to all those listed in person or by phone so the fact that now people have to take me on my word that she told me how she talked to them and what they said.... and I can't have a copy of that... so disgusting, Alissa.  She actually told me that witness against Notaro, Heidi Feigin, was very distressed when Alissa talked to her by phone. Feigin was distressed because she kept getting calls saying "Why are you testifying the other said" Feigin stated to Malzman Sterling that she beleived that such calls came form "Tig's manager." But in hindsight, I doubt Hunter Seidman would have such insane criminal chutzpah to try and tamper with a witness. Knowing now what I know of Nick Kroll and his role in my case... It was him or someone working for Kroll. If Malzman Sterling had brought Heidi's CONCERNS up in a motion or just told the court... Notaro and her cronies would never have been able to get away with what they go away with.

 Dear Los Angeles defendant,

Read this before you consider hiring Alissa Malzman Sterling.

Read this http://alisablogq.blogspot.com/2017/07/dismissed-in-interests-of-justice.html

If you get Alissa Malzman Sterling as your lawyer prepare to get no real protection from her. She will throw your case and leave you drowning. If you are innocent and she knows you are being maliciously prosecuted she will forego the opportunity to assure that you get real representation.

Well, at least cancer scamming comedian and perjuring criminal Tig Notaro loves her. It is public service and not due to spite(though I have plenty of righteous spite) that I must do everything in my (extremely limited) power to warn any poor sod who gets her as a public defender( or if they hire her if and when she goes into private practice)

I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a lucrative position at Kroll someday soon. Nick Kroll is also a huge fan I'm sure. What a nice treat they got when Sterling did nearly nothing to obtain justice for her maliciously prosecuted client. "Alisa, you are being maliciously prosecuted" and she told me that there was witness tampering in my case with witness Heidi Feigin. What did she do? She chose to make me lose on one charge and basically ruin my life by doing so. I didn't end up losing on that one count and she was not happy about that. How scary is that?

She's not as bad as James E. Silverstein is the best thing I can say about her.

Dismissed in the Interests of Justice: The incredible(and I mean incredible) true story of how a comedian, Tig Notaro, saved her brand by destroying lives - Starring Nick Kroll, Jules Kroll, Marty Singer, the LAPD, Prosecutors, Judges (Seriously)

From Google:  Dismissal in the interest of justice  allows a court to dismiss a procedurally proper, but unjust or unjustifiable, cause of action. Thus,  dismissing  cases in the interest  of justice  can provide a check where few exist for overzealous prosecutions, race-based patrolling, and overuse of “three strikes” laws. "Holy shit. This is... insane..." Yes, it was. Yes, it is. Stone cold crazy. Batshit. Baying at the moon. Singing a loony tune. Straight up straight jacket stuff. "...And, yet..." he said, "it's kind of... sexy." Sexy? Only in Los Angeles, would a lawyer, perusing reams of legalese -- chronicling a then two-year journey into hell -- think, 'hey this is hot.' On the surface, he was looking at a case involving a restraining order obtained by perjury and fraud, used by an infamous L.A law firm - as a retaliatory weapon to, at first, stop first amendment protected internet postings and then as a way to sabotage a...

Kroll Show Review - Is show business safe from Nick Kroll's check writing prowess? Answer: Nope

Jules Kroll is a very successful and BUSY man. He is easily worth ten billion, and he has thousands of powerful people, on his payroll, or in his debt. (We'll really get to him if you keep reading.)  This  article in Business Week  http://www.businessweek.com/stories/1998-11-08/jules-kroll-danger-is-his-business   gives a compelling overview:  In the late 1970s, he(Jules Kroll) helped create a new market for corporate investigations. A onetime Manhattan assistant district attorney, he realized that corporations would pay big for an investigative firm that could dig out employee fraud and other malfeasance. He recruited a savvy coterie of former CIA spies, FBI agents, and prosecutors by paying them as much as twice their public-sector salaries. But there's more to Kroll's success than waving big paychecks at top talent. He has long inspired loyalty among his staff by remembering the names of even the lowliest clerical workers. ...
